Facilities:
MEM Hitech is located in the Dong An Industrial Park, about 28 km (18 miles) from downtown Saigon.
The facility is conveniently located for transportation and courier services:
- About 20 km (13 miles) from Tan Son Nhat International Airport
- Fedex, UPS and DHL offices are at the nearby VSIP Industrial Park (3 miles away) and will pick up and deliver to MEM Hitech.
- The head offices of all three courier services (Fedex, UPS and DHL) are located at the main entrance of Tan Son Nhat Airport.
The Dong An facility consists of a two-storey main building with a total surface area of 5900 m2 or 64,000 sq. ft. for high-capacity production.
In addition, a Cafeteria building of 645 m2 or 7,000 sq. ft. has been especially constructed near the entrance to serve the employees working at Memsonics.
The Packaging Assembly area is located on the second floor with a total surface area of 2800 m2 or 30,000 sq. ft.
A total of 21 air conditioning systems are combined into a central system, but can be individually controlled for each zone.
This provides a Class 100,000 environment for the packaging assembly production.
A Class 1000 Clean Room with a useable area of 144 m2 or 1,500 sq. ft. is built on the first floor for Wafer Inspection.
A Wafer Dicing room with a useable area of 72 m2 or 750 sq. ft. is allocated on the first floor. A DI Water System is built adjacent to the facility.
The first floor also contains office area for management, admin, technical and support staff, training room, and two conference-sized rooms dedicated to customers’ use.
The whole facility is provided with a Transformer Substation with a capacity of 1,150 KVA (750 + 400 KVA).
A diesel engine will with a capacity of 1120 KVA is provided for backup power during power outage or blackout.
Expansion Plan
A seven-story building will be built at the location of the current Cafeteria building to accommodate the short-term expansion for production and the corresponding enlargement of technical and administrative staff.
Medium term: Another facility has been acquired with the planned capacity of about three times the size of our current Dong An Facility. The new facility is located at Long Hau, some 20 km from downtown Saigon. Our plan is to operate both facilities.
